![I would have never had thought in a million years that the recent Amazon Web Service Apocalypse [EC2/EBS in particular] would have denied me access to my SVN server for 3 days and counting. Unfortunately, the EBS which my SVN data is stored on is in the minority of volumes to be recovered:
Apr 24, 5:05 AM PDT: As detailed in previous updates, the vast majority of affected EBS volumes have been restored by this point, and we are working through a more time-consuming recovery process for remaining volumes. We have made steady progress on this front over the past few hours. If your volume is among those recently recovered, it should be accessible and usable without additional action.
This has had a rather stressful knock-on effect to the timeline for the first 0.9 pre-release which is now likely to be pushed back from Wednesday to Friday.
This has made me look forward to one thing though… Dropping OS X Leopard 10.5 [as discussed in this tumblr] and fully transitioning to Xcode 4. And this means I will easily be able to make one extremely important change to my workflow…
