![A feature I have sneaked into Alfred 1.1 which is due soon is some advanced options for showing Alfred. In this example, you assign a separate global hotkey which will show Alfred with the currently selected text and add the google keyword to the beginning, setting you up ready for a google search.
I know many people have been looking for this kind of feature :)
