One rather nice feature coming to 1.0.1 is the ability to select an extension as the default action for one of your filters. In the screenshot above, this means I can filter by PNG files with the keyword fw and when I find the file I’m looking for, simply press return to open this in Fireworks. The ‘Open in Fireworks’ action is a simple extension which takes the path and passes it to Fireworks. This opens up a world of possibilities e.g… Find image and upload to Flickr Copy file to Dropbox public folder and get link Create short URL for selected Safari Bookmark Attach a file to an Evernote Ultimately, if set up properly, it will both clean up the results so you can find the file you are looking for quicker THEN perform your desired action without having to bring up the action panel. Less keypresses all round :)
