Alfred 1.1.1 dev build 194
Hot off the heels of the 1.1 release, here is the first dev release for 1.1.1 which fixes a few little problems and adds a few treats! Read the change log to see what’s new!
Get the 1.1.1 dev release!
Cheers, Andrew
Using Xcode 4.3's Command Line Tools
I recently upgraded to 4.3 which has done away with the /Developer folder, instead opting for an XCode.app application in /Applications. Naturally, the command line tools such as xcodebuild stopped working so my automated build server broke.
There is quite a simple fix, you simply need to change xcode’s root folder to the Developer folder inside XCode’s app bundle:

Alfred 1.1 pre-release b189 [GA candidate]
Weeee, another pre-release build…
As explained in an earlier tumblr, Alfred has dev releases and pre-releases which subsequently lead to a general release. The dev builds are unfinished / untested and exist mostly to allow for rolling testing and to satisfy people who want to get their mitts on things early…
The pre-release builds, however, are closer to what I feel are ready for...
Alfred 1.1 Second Dev Release
After a rather successful initial 1.1 dev release, here is a second development release before going to pre-release and [hopefully] general release next week. This second release fixes a small number of outstanding issues and should set things up well for the general release.
Without further ado, update to 1.1 dev b185.
Cheers, Andrew

After a bit of a late lunch, here is the first development release of 1.1. There are plenty of new things so be sure to read the change log carefully and help me test each new feature!
Without further ado, update to 1.1 dev b184.
Cheers, Andrew

1.1 is the new 1.0.1
Over the past month I have been working towards 1.0.1 being a primarily maintenance build, meaning mostly fixes and very minor improvements.
As always, I got carried away and have added a number of significant improvements to the Contacts integration and Extensions. Over the past few days, it dawned on me that this isn’t a maintenance release after all.
I have decided that I will be...

Lovely Users [not]
[Updated with latest reply at bottom]
Almost all of the email we receive is from absolutely lovely users who are very happy for our help, some is even just email praising Alfred or praising what we have done. Every so often, you have to support slightly difficult users. As you all know, I take great pride in Alfred and how I look after my users so when I get a difficult user, I almost certainly...

Alfred 1.0 b179 re-release
Just a quick note to say there was a tiny quirk in the b178 release last night affecting a small number of users - For these users, after a reboot, the default hotkey wasn’t working to show Alfred… DOH!
This was caused by a change I made to the way the auto updater is setup and if no previous update URL was registered, it was bailing out of Alfred’s startup process before the...

A Lovely Email...
Every so often, I receive an email out of the blue where somebody is just being absolutely lovely! Here is one I just received which really put a smile on my face:
Dear Alfredites (Alfredians?):
In my experience, any product — hardware, software, or even a simple piece of entertainment — promoted with excessive hyperbole is hard-pressed to live up to its expectations. I was therefore...
